My fist OpEd... "[…] the collision of race and revelry is actually in keeping with Mardi Gras’ long racial history. It’s not the first time that white supremacists have used the parade in service of their goals."

Forcing people to have children while opposing policies that ensure access to healthcare, education, housing & nutrition has nothing to do w/ the sanctity of life & everything to do with stripping individuals of bodily autonomy as part of maintaining an oppressed underclass.

God, I love : "Steve Harvey is not so much offensive as he is fraudulent. This is a man who made millions selling the blueprint on how to achieve everlasting love while trading in wives for slimmer, lighter-skinned upgrades."

Earlier this week, a 72-year-old homeless man was arrested for seeking shelter from the rain in the basement of a NYCHA building. The Manhattan ADA asked for a plea to the charge and 45 days jail. 45 days at Rikers Island at ~$800/night would cost $36,000.

The question is... What will Democrats do? I just wish that there was something within the constitution specifically designed to stop the executive from becoming a dictator. I mean, something that the framers anticipated, so they built in a fail safe switch. Darn.

Apparently uber and lyft are emailing out coupons to folks. Don't fall for this shit. The gig economy exists in part to kill the labor movement, and as its customers we HAVE to hold the line when organizing happens. Don't cross the line tomorrow!!! Plan to take the bus/car pool

Jeff Bezos' personal wealth grew by an average of $87,000 per minute in 2018. Maybe we should discuss that instead of shaming people for eating lunch or getting a haircut. Just spitballing here.

The median Uber driver takes home just $8.55 an hour. Last year, Uber paid its top 5 executives $143 million. Our country does not struggle with scarcity. We struggle with greed. Proud to stand with the Uber and Lyft drivers striking around the world today. ✊🏽

“South Park” is a fundamentally mean-spirited, nasty show that has made American culture not only coarser, but crueler.

Good luck to the Uber and Lyft drivers striking today. My mom’s husband drives so they can have a little piece of something, and it’s cray how little something they get from those rides. Without those folks using their OWN cars and time, the tech companies would be nada.

Joe Biden says he "doesn’t have time" to lay out his healthcare plan. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Warren: "Here's my plan to cancel student loan debt, my proposal for universal child care and my tax bill for the ultra rich to pay for all this!"

The owner of Wendy's is refusing to participate in the Fair Food program, which would give better wages and make conditions safer for tomato pickers in Florida. In addition to this, the owner has also given money to Trump. Please share this post.

A quick thread on Gaza. 4 Palestinian protesters killed in Gaza by Israel on Friday, BEFORE rocket fire out of Gaza. But what are today's headlines? CNN: "430 rockets fired from Gaza, Israel responds with airstrikes" BBC: "Gaza rocket barrage prompts Israel strikes" (1/?)

It’s so disgusting how people still defend Chris Brown after damn near murdering her. Even lying on Rihanna. Chris Brown beat Rihanna because she caught him cheating on her. Like her face was enough proof that he’s disgusting. & The court documents prove just that:
