It's ironic, CO2 is keeping us out of the next ice age.
Doubtful. The temperature swings in glacial cycles are on the order of 8C. Conceding the GHE for the sake of argument, how could CO2 with a theoretical 1-2degC for 2xCO2 CS possibly interfere with these massive natural oscillations?
We will never overcome natural cycles but sense we are around 14.7C a loss of even 2C may put us in real trouble. If CO2 increase can hold the temperature a little higher and give us more time to prepare, I am happy. What is coming is not going to be pretty.
>We will never overcome natural cycles I understand your concern, Greg, but it really looks like GHGs are doing quite a bit. CO2 feedbacks such as falling albedo/reflectivity are also kicking in. And whenever China and India decide to cutback air pollution, it will warm further.pic.twitter.com/kxHsrdraC7
Falling albido? You can't be serious. We've had record snow in nearly every state... You believe what you read and deny your lying eyes... Wow... just ... Wow
Magic CO2 Greening means MORE GREEN and less reflectivity/albedo in Northern+mountainous areas. It's actually a complex issue (a mixed bag, and dirty snow cd be responsible for more melting than GHGs). Prolly best avoided. 1 https://phys.org/news/2017-05-atmospheric-carbon-dioxide-global-greening.html … 2https://psmag.com/environment/keeping-cool-with-the-albedo-effect-3837 …
Believe your eyes all you want, but don't let your eyes snow you. :D EPA: "Since 1972, the US snow cover season has become shorter by nearly two weeks, on average. By far the largest change has taken place in the spring, with the last day of snow shifting earlier by 19 days."pic.twitter.com/QmEXYKKOYN
Well that's expected. You are comparing the start of this cold cycle with the maximum of the last. Wait.
find the cooling I cant seem to locate itpic.twitter.com/cAGLoaUDit
I have found it! The answer to what is causing climate warming. Scientists have calculated that termites alone produce TEN times as much carbon dioxide as all the fossil fuels burned in the whole world in a year. OOOPPPS!pic.twitter.com/jBDii79RHi
