    CLIMATE CLOCK‏ @theclimateclock 19 Sep 2020

BREAKING: NYC just turned the giant Union Square clock into a #ClimateClock to hold governments and corporations accountable. We have 7 years and 102 days to dramatically reduce carbon emissions. Let’s do this! https://ClimateClock.World  #ActInTime #GreenNewDeal #ClimateWeekNYCpic.twitter.com/qjUNR4h4Op

Where will you be in 2027? How will you get there? The journey you choose to take deeply matters.

I wonder is it clear enough that the 7 refers to 7 years. This is quite important. I may be missing something with the resolution on my screen.

Is this run by solar power? Is the system that runs it run by renewables? How much did it cost? Could you have funded a better cause like a study to better determine a way to produce solar panels at a lower cost? This is all hype until you put your money where your mouth is.

I’m very for trying to stop carbon emissions but this ultimately does nothing/hurts the cause we’re trying for here. Corps don’t care. We have to legislate to make them care. A giant clock is not going to push them to do anything
