You dont think it is misleading to compare graphs of perception of "crime" (total spectrum shown above) and "violent crime" (under 12% of the whole spectrum shown above)? Interesting...

Larceny can be as simple as a purloined sock off a clothesline. When most people think of crime, they think of what we classify as "violent" crime. As in, didya hear about that shooting on the east side sorta crime.
