Because California, though wealthy, is a massively mismanaged state. Where Texas, on the other hand, is probably the most well run state. They obviously vote poorly. LOL

The same reasons that Portland, OR, New Mexico and many smaller communities communities in the Western half of the US don’t want any more Californians.

To be fair no one wants more “Californians” cause ‘Murcia ... all those states are happy to lure tech companies and their tax dollars to their states. Voters need to get involved early if they really don’t like this.
