The fact that Patrick chooses to signal his liberal bonafides rather than address the inevitable outcome of progressivism running its course is why he deserves the city he gets.

The liberal left, and the way they’ve approached the more radical base within the party are not mutually exclusive. Look at national leadership; it’s a mirror of San Francisco progressive mantra. Republicans have insights into the problem you don’t.
