I think that is a great first step. We can see how it goes from there. Even these modest steps would greatly reduce the harm to drug users and society by the use of illicit drugs.

So are alcohol, tobacco, and many legal drugs. Fentanyl is no more or less likely to kill you than these drugs, when dispensed properly. Prohibition is the problem, not the drug itself.

He was a diabetic and drank heavily against his doctor's advice. He eventually ended up dying of a "heart attack" but there was a massive amount of alcohol in his system and his blood sugar was off the charts.
