It’s your stated policy to refuse to prosecute illegally-armed criminals because of a vague definition of “Pretextual” car stops. The words don’t matter. What you actually do counts, and you are failing.

What counts is that violent crime is down. That's what counts.

A claim that crime, violent or otherwise, is down in San Francisco is no more believable than a claim that Trump actually won in 2020.

Too bad facts don't support your claims.

You say, that, but the actual data tells a different story.
@chesaboudin took over as DA on January 8, 2020. He could not have influenced any events, changed any policies, or done anything differently before that date, so that’s our starting poit …1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

SF crime data does not span multiple years, and I had to break it down between Jan - Dec 20, and what you see is crime going down in almost every category, but …pic.twitter.com/1xhRjCGjtM

Your data shows that violent crime is down and burglary and auto breakins are up. Thanks for providing evidence to support my thesis.

Though I personally don't think date from the extremely weird outlier of 2020 is worth considering too much. It was Covid that changed things, not the DA.

Wierd or not, if January 2020 is the baseline, today is showing a rise in every category of crime, which Boudin like to tout as his accomplishments. It takes time for his policies to start impacting the data, but it is definitely happeng.

According to your screenshot, rape was down 44% from 2019 to 2020 and then again down another 17% this year. Are you reading these graphs wrong?

There were 385 rapes in 2019 and 214 in 2020. YTD there were 141 rapes in 2020 and 117 in 2021. That is a decreasing trend, not an increasing one.

The same goes with Robbery and Assault. It is not as obvious with Assault because it went down in 2020 and then up in 2021, but the magnitude of the drop exceeds the increase.
