There is no evidence that overall violent crime is up in SF, though property crime (especially car breakins) are up and have been trending up for a decade.

Gun violence is up, but less than in other cities in the United States. I think that 2020 and 2021 are not really comparable to previous non-Covid years. If you claim this is due to Boudin, the onus is on you to prove this, without cherry picking a few stats.

What evidence we have is that overall crime is down. I don't think Boudin should get credit for that. Overall gun violence is up. I don't think he gets blame for that either. Your mileage may vary.
