I did not. If you look at the numbers, you will see that every crime that needs people to be outside -rape, robbery, assault- was down during Covid. Not Chesa’s accomplishment. And of course they’re not really comparable if it does not align with Progressive scripture.

Except those crimes were up in many other cities in the local area. Our crime is reduced compared with our peers who are experiencing a nation wide crime wave. Reductions is Rape, Robbery, and Assault cannot be attributed to covid when other cities have experienced the opposite

I am not a Progressive, I am an evidence based realist. As far I can tell, the recall Boudin campaign is entirely based on the feelings of people who spend too much time on Nextdoor and feel afraid.

People can read numbers. People can read the news. The worst part is the 700 OD dead last year, which happened because
@chesaboudin can’t jail drug dealers for fear of traumatizing them. Also, watch how the mayor, the supes, and Progressives do absolutely nothing about it.3 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -

@weldekarsten, I want to have a conversation with you specifically about drug policy. First I might ask whether you recognize or have heard of the "iron law of prohibition", please comment. "the harder the enforcement, the harder the drugs."https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_law_of_prohibition …

Also treat drug addiction. That’s IF you really want to end drug crime and its devastation. We need to see the problem accurately to solve it, not just sound an alarm to lock dealers up when drug kings have an endless supply of dealers.

Here is what we need to do. 1 - Criminalize fent usage and put addicts before the choice, jail or rehab. 2 - Jail dealers. 3 - Hunt the big fish. 4 - Stop wasting money on feel-good programs. 5 - Build a mental hospital for the city.

You agree with elected DA Boudin about rehab. You also agree about big fish. You also agree we need to treat mentally ill. I’m not sure the DA would never seek to put some dealers in jail. “Feel good” program is your inexperienced assessment. You stand with Chesa!

Chesa Boudin 博徹思Verified account @chesaboudinReplying to @awokeocracyAbout 25% of my general felony team caseload is drug sales. It's a huge distraction from violent crime. Come watch court any day of the week and you'll see felony drug sales cases being prosecuted. Don't blame me because the war on drugs has been a total failure since inception.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -
