I moved here in 1989 and violent crime has steadily gone down over the decades. It is lower now than it was a few years ago and is about the same as before Covid.

I stand by my statement "SF is much safer now that it used to be." You wouldn't have lasted a day here in the 90s, back when violent crime in SF was the same as Oakland is today. I think a bunch of suburbanites must have moved in who expect The City to be like Pleasanton.

Oh stop with this shit. Crime was worse everywhere in the 90s, and you don’t get to dictate the appropriate point of comparison. Keep raving about the emperors beautiful new clothes and upvoting your own comments with burner accounts though. Very convincing.

So you admit that crime has been declining in San Francisco for a long time? Glad we could come to an agreement.

And violent crime has actually declined a bit under Boudin, though that is probably due to Covid.pic.twitter.com/di2ikcUU2H
