That’s what I was thinking, to me it should be clear cut and evident of how you feel. How ever way you want that to be via different love languages or something else

It *can* be. They may not realize that’s what you need. If you tell them and from there on out they do it willingly, then it likely is. If you have to constantly ask for it, or remind them, no it’s probably not genuine

“May not realize that’s what you need” Is it not a fair assessment to say that all people need reassurance? Now how you reassure someone, how often, and when matters. That you might need to inform them.

also take in point that somebody could be giving a person all the reassurance they need-some times that person who needs it all the time just doesn’t believe them. And thats on them. Because of their own insecurities, or old relationships, or held on trauma.

idk. i constantly ask for reassurance because of the trauma i went through in previous relationships. but thats also a gamble you take being in a relationship too
