All of your favorite blue check mark accounts were gone, but the good news is that I was here the whole time

i've been having a great time with ooblets! it has a slow start - it seems deceptively simple initially, then opens up in a big way. then, there's a lot to do. so many plants to harvest. ooblets to collect. it's lovely. excited to watch it grow!

A little sad, too. I'd rather read about Wind Commander than Quake ^^; But as they say: "The world doesn't begin and end with Panzer General."

What kind of amazed me was CGW passing on a Quake 2 reveal cover in favor of Wing Commander 4. Amazing to think back on the attitudes of the PC gaming space at the time, and how the ground was shifting under everyone's feet without them knowing.

This week's episode of Branching Narratives is live! joins to talk about life as a screenwriter, Animal Talking, and Stars Wars. Hearing what it was like to pitch Rogue One was cool, but tbh I enjoyed the CGW vs PC Gamer talk the most. Listen!

So wait, if I want to access extra Premier League games, I have to subscribe to something called "Peacock Premium?"

Was Thousand Year Door ever that deep? Seems to me that Paper Mario has always been more about charm than mechanics. If you want a deep RPG, can I recommend Xenoblade, Pokemon... or almost anything else?

Single best bit of Ghost of Tsushima is the moment after a mission where the camera cuts to Jin petting his horse / taking a nap with it / the horse nudging him in the back

I find that having them in the fridge enhances the flavor. Trust me, Fridge Sour Patch Kids are great.

It's pure video game junk food. It's the giant bag of Sour Patch Kids in your fridge. You have a bunch, and you put away the bag, and then you go, "... I'm gonna have another one." There's absolutely nothing nourishing about this game, but I enjoyed my 40 some hours with it

I like this team because it satisfies all my weird personal requirements: - At least one Gen 1 - It has a starter - Good spread from across multiple generations - It’s reasonably fun to play with

I think I found a workable Gen 8 singles team, at least for now. Wish the core game had 6v6 ranked competitor as the good lord intended

Good interview by in which the devs talk about the natural parallels to Death Stranding (coincidentally out today on PC), and more amusingly, the immediate impulse by playtesters to drive the mail truck into the game's eponymous lake

I'm not sure what to make of Tsushima's treatment of the Mongols, honestly. I feel like they were mostly chosen because they were an acceptable enemy. Would have been kind of neat if Tsushima had done the Sengoku period instead.

Today is going to be an upsetting day for me. As a writer of Japanese descent I really want to review Ghost of Tsushima. I did not get that opportunity and it's deeply hurtful. I knew fairly early on so I've been working on other things but this still hurts.
