The CMA went neutral on #assistedsuicide based on promise of absolute right to not participate. OF COURSE promise was broken. That's how euthanasia movement rolls. There should be no referral requirement or filling out forms requirement. Patient records belong to patient not MD.

Several people have alerted me to this story. Thank you all. Ironically, there have been other times when bioethicists blew gaskets because the bodies of brain dead women were kept functioning so they could deliver their babies. They wanted the babies dead too.

Immortality cannot be attained in the corporeal world. If eternal life is attainable, it will be found by working on one’s soul in faith, not by developing ever-more-advanced AI computers.

My latest: Leaving aside the narcissistic aspect of people continually having themselves recorded, “they” would still be dead. The AI reproduction would merely be a sophisticated remembrance of the dearly departed, akin to a precious photo, nothing more.
