I've come to the conclusion that New York has literally only 1 advantage over California. Literally only 1. That is... The time zone. Besides that, California wins in every single category.

Or even Salt Lake City?? It’s gorgeous there. It’s cheaper. Great people. However you then have less opportunities, connections, businesses etc.

SLC and Austin rock. Do you think living in Salt Lake instead of LA, SF, SV or Austin is a mistake because of the lack of opportunities? I’m about to be 20 and want to leave LA but still want to be in a place full of opportunities for business, tech, media etc. LA is the hub.
