I've come to the conclusion that New York has literally only 1 advantage over California. Literally only 1. That is... The time zone. Besides that, California wins in every single category.

Restaurants are WAY better. Proximity to foreign travel destinations (Caribbean, Europe, etc). Public transit. The time zone hurts you for sports though usually (not when you have the bubble though!), I think Mountain is best for sports watching personally
I can't stand the restaurant argument. In most major cities the food is all the same. Maybe not as many quantities - but you can get the same shit everywhere!

Ok so true there are great restaurants in every major city but by far the most (quantity) in NYC. NYC is also one of the few places you can actually eat late (in the US) at those great restaurants. West coast closes down at 10pm! Haha
