Getting mocked is typically part of releasing something cool. After that, they copy you. I have a feeling in 3-6 months, we're gonna have a lot more copycats.

That's one way to look at it. The other is to legitimise the $2000 value in your product with something more than a heavy red curtain pitch and prove them wrong. I'd prefer that. If I get that I'll happily sign up.

Dude—someone who is potentially trying to give you $ is trying to give you feedback. No, it may not be for them, but it costs you nothing to hear them out instead of “don’t like it, don’t buy it”. Could be a future customer segment down the line.
