That's one way to look at it. The other is to legitimise the $2000 value in your product with something more than a heavy red curtain pitch and prove them wrong. I'd prefer that. If I get that I'll happily sign up.

My favorite is when people get angry when you charge money for a product.

This has been on my mind a lot lately. People get mad about "fees", and I agree they can get out of hand, however that's sometimes how businesses or individuals extrapolate value from the service they're providing. They still charge, and call it something else. No free lunches.
