Say there are four relevant cultures in America: tech in SF, entertainment in LA, finance in NY, and politics in DC. Get good at one, and you can make a nice living. Get good at two, and you'll have huge opportunity. I'm not sure anyone's mastered all four

It’s not clear how that region pulls levers that massively impact the rest of the country— midwest included. I think that’s the crux of “relevant” but maybe I underestimate TV Evangilists.
