Sprinting, like 50 meter to 400 meter interval workouts 3 times a week, seems like it’s easily the most efficient and well rounded exercise for longevity and looking good. Why don’t more people do it?
I think if you train hard it can hurt. But if you train easier and train to sprint healthy like hip mobility stuff, stretching, explosive drills, plyos), it’s a winning workout.

It tackles a lot of longevity-focused issues like loss of type II muscle fibers and coordination. But, I’d still push for some hypertrophy work so that you actually have some type II muscle fibers haha

Additionally, new techniques are being studied to target those fast-twitch muscle fibers and in a safe manner. Sprints, and all adjacent exercises are absolutely fantastic though for overall health and longevity.
