Sprinting, like 50 meter to 400 meter interval workouts 3 times a week, seems like it’s easily the most efficient and well rounded exercise for longevity and looking good. Why don’t more people do it?

For those who want to start, here are easy first workouts: - 10x100m (or ~13-15 seconds or 85% effort) with 2-3 min rest between. - 6x60m (fast as you can for ~8 seconds) with 3-5 min rest - 6x200m (28-40 seconds. enough to run same pace each time, last one hard),2 min rest

Sprinting is actually more dangerous than lifting. Most injuries happen during sudden bursts of movement. Plus, most people don’t actually know how to sprint properly. Much less physically prepared to sprint. Of course, it’s not that dangerous. But, it’s not straightforward.

This is why most coaches prefer you to use a weighted sled or prowler if you’re going to sprint. For most regular people anyway.

Probably less chance of injury compared to distance running, not just lifting. But it’s just so fun to get out there and see how far you can push yourself.

- Definitely more likely to result in injury than lifting - Nowhere near as well-rounded as lifting - Much, much more difficult to progressive overload than lifting (you'll reach a less-than-impressive plateau quickly)

Can go to a track and knock out the sprints there. Don’t have to worry about looking dumb
