You get some endurance. Builds muscle in all parts of the body. Only takes 10 minutes of actual running per workout. Zero equipment (a track helps though). You can do the same workouts over and over. Improves mobility, tendons, burns fat, makes u athletic.

Way better than running for miles as it’s more efficient and more well rounded for the body. Likely less injuries than lifting and more well rounded. The downside is: many think they’ll look silly sprinting in the street or park. But it’s easily the best way to workout!

For those who want to start, here are easy first workouts: - 10x100m (or ~13-15 seconds or 85% effort) with 2-3 min rest between. - 6x60m (fast as you can for ~8 seconds) with 3-5 min rest - 6x200m (28-40 seconds. enough to run same pace each time, last one hard),2 min rest

I was a quarter miler at one point in my life. It will break you down and put you into to best shape you’ve ever been in.

I’ve been debating starting this. Without a track what do you do to measure the distance? Tried one day but it was at the track. When I just run up and down my block I can’t tell distance though.
-
You can by a meter wheel on amazon for $30. Easy. If no, do it by time. The diff types of sprint workouts can be like 8 sec, 15, 30, 60. Each do diff stuff. Short rest is 2min. Long is 8.

Why do you think it builds muscle in all parts if your body? Do you have any scientific evidence for that? Sprints are a great addition to any workout because they promote fat burn and increase general fitness level. But I never heard that sprints help building muscle.
-
No but I’d bet there’s science to prove it. 1) I’ve noticed my entire body gains muscle from years of doing it 2) training to sprint well does include weight lifting - but even without you notice gains throughout the body.
