Ah East Austin... getting there from downtown, you only have to walk under the highway by a few hundred homeless tents. Pleasant walk/bike... Austin is so screwed on so many levels. They were not ready for this. Dallas is though

It's amazing to me that SF has basically made zero progress towards improving sane housing policies. Allow more building, get rid of legacy tax policy, etc. I'm looking for new places to live and want to hit the west coast for outdoorsy options, but it's so unaffordable.
