I'm also hoping to test GPT-3 on some media tasks - personally focusing on local news. I am technical so I'd be happy to partner on this in some capacity, if interested. Especially while I wait for my API key

It knows what it knows *at the point it was trained*, ie it was trained once on a big chunk of information from 2019, so eg has very little concept of COVID - so will be sub-optimal on *new* topics

I dont think we are a long way off.

My personal opinion. It will just pollute the internet with low-quality content which Google will be able to detect the vast majority of the time. Google does it already for automatically generated content.
