Paid newsletters are over-rated: it’s grueling work, your best thinking is stuck behind a paywall, and selling products is much more profitable

Paid newsletters are certainly enjoying their moment but I'm not sure they're sustainable long-term. Better to use your newsletter as a lead generator for other (paid) digital products.
