I can't see 2k worth of value over a kettlebell and some YouTube vids TBH. Does look cool though

Thank you! We'd like to think the value of Tempo comes in with our AI-tech helping to correct your form and also providing custom class recommendations, weight, and rep schemes to make progress to your goals. And we're biased, but we think our coaches are pretty awesome too

Good motivation for working out solo, but hard to heat competing with your friends

Totally hear ya! We've got a live leaderboard in our live classes, too, so you can compete with friends—and strangers—alike!

How well does it assess your form? Seems like that's the make or break. If it doesn't have/use extra sensors/cameras, looks like you could do all of this with a TV, smart phone, and standard weights.

Tempo uses a 3D motion sensor powered by A.I. to analyze your form and give you instant feedback when you need it. Additionally, during a live class, coaches can also see a “skeleton” rendering of your body and give you corrective cues in real-time.

If it helps being consistent with your workouts, of course it's worth it. But remember every time you add a gizmo to your workout you are feeding a cycle where you crave the next product that keeps things "fun" . Usually those that keep it simple are the ones that last.
