VCs focus on software because of the valuation. They can get in build it quick and flip it just as quickly. With tangible products it takes time.

I started an investment company to do a buy and build in the sign industry. 45% gross margins, 15% net. Tons of niche verticals inside a giant landscape. Huge succession planning challenges and minimal PE presence. Smaller players for 3-4x EBITDA
