I think Reddit still struggles with monetization too. Both platforms have strong communities and not equal balance sheets.

They recently just announced monetizing their spaces. And they have stepped up their ad manager. Looks like they are trending in that direction. What would be other suggestions for them to monetize?

During unbundling of Google, they took the "Q&A search queries" part. Whenever i type any question in Google search bar, top results are from Quora. Impressive!!

I wonder if a freemium model - I.e you get 10 answers per month for free and pay X USD monthly subscription for anything beyond. Or a version of that. Spotify could be a good monetisation model to emulate.

75% of all answers on Quora are inbound marketing attempts. I guess many people stopped using it because it was more of a listing of agencies trying to get clients.

I don't agree. Even though, I was answering questions on Quora to get clients, the content outside of my professional field is outstanding.
