- I think we'll stop at these cities: https://www.nationalgeographic.com/travel/destinations/north-america/united-states/happiest-cities-united-states-2017/ … - We'll stay on Airbnb in houses (not condo/apartment) - Will spend up to $6k/month for rental...but I bet $2.5k-$3k will be plenty - Bringing out big dog Sid - Likely spend 4 weeks in New York

@mirchich and I did this in 2016, 2017, and 2019. You’ll want to stay longer than 7 to 30 days. The logistics of picking a new city, finding a new place, settling in, and so on are just too much. 2 to 3 months = sweet spot Advice: Pack light. Only what fits in the trunk. -
Did you drive? What cities did you? What's your story?

How did you get her to say yes to that Gipsy life? I'd love do that. Wife won't allow it

I don't know why everyone keeps asking this. Why do you think she didn't need to convince me!?

I drove through Austin a couple days ago and am seriously considering it. Outskirts of the city are gorgeous and city still very accessible. I think you’ll enjoy.

I moved to Austin in 2007 and it’s been amazing to see how much the city has grown since then. Its got the culture of Cali, without a lot of the baggage. And it’s the best looking part of Texas.
