Jesus was clear on it. But it also has to do with the heart behind giving IMO.

The widow was recognized for her sacrifice, not her impact (Mark 12:41-44, Luke 21:1-4).

However, as humans we love the stories of smaller efforts (especially when they come from kids) because they’re heartwarming... And an an entrepreneurial kid who is selling shirts to raise $ at 7 is probably going to be a millionaire one day, anyway. Building that pipeline...
