The idea of interactive email has fascinated me for ten years. 1 click purchase, video with sound, things like that. What are the technical barriers here? You’d need to make your own client. But what else?

Next time you get a Google Doc comment notification, you'll notice you can reply to the comment in the email itself. That uses AMP. Obviously that might not be the adoption you're asking about though since it's Google doing it ;)
