Makes me want to puke: Leo Hainzl was a 94-year-old who fled Nazi Germany. He used to walk his dog in my area. Super nice guy. On Monday he was beaten to death by a mentally ill homeless man in Glen Park.https://www.nbcbayarea.com/investigations/homeless-man-held-in-beating-death-of-94-year-old-nazi-era-refugee/2297449/ …

The homeless man, Peter Rocha, is known in my area. He screams shit as people + has had the police called on him for hitting people walking by and threatening folks with violence. Each time, he was let go without punishment.

This is so frustrating and sad. Didn't have to happen.
@chesaboudin@LondonBreed - this has to stop. There are so many homeless people out here who are never punished. Shitty on streets, drug use, violence, and no murder.1 reply 0 retweets 14 likesShow this thread -
I've closed my office in SF. Moved all the jobs to Austin. Partly due to this issue. I left the city proper. And this is just the financial stuff. The more important stuff is that wonderful people are being killed. Just horrible and sad.

Replying to @theSamParr
I love visiting Austin, but it seems like they have similar problems with the homeless. Especially around the downtown area

Ya. I like Austin. But that issue likely will keep me away
