Massive amounts of crime that are blatantly ignored and have zero/little consequences are the problem. Downtown has 0 rules. I used to kick drug dealers and users off our door step daily. Even found a dead body on stairs. Cops hands are tied as there are no consequences.
I had no idea. Been living and working in the city for about 8 years. Didn’t experience anything like that. I’m not crazy about the city for other reasons. For one thing, people keep leaving so it’s hard to create long-term friendships.
