I've closed my office in SF. Moved all the jobs to Austin. Partly due to this issue. I left the city proper. And this is just the financial stuff. The more important stuff is that wonderful people are being killed. Just horrible and sad.
What do you mean? Are homicides a big issue here?
Massive amounts of crime that are blatantly ignored and have zero/little consequences are the problem. Downtown has 0 rules. I used to kick drug dealers and users off our door step daily. Even found a dead body on stairs. Cops hands are tied as there are no consequences.

I love visiting Austin, but it seems like they have similar problems with the homeless. Especially around the downtown area
