Also, it doesn’t have to be maliciously motivated: they may have thought they were doing these folks a favor. Just like white slave owners thought they were doing the slaves a favor by feeding and clothing them. The language of favors has been used for oppression since always.

Of slave owners? Or of me? If my style doesn’t do it for you, there have been literally hundreds of comments from people of every ilk...hopefully you can find someone in there that suits you.

What would you have tweeted if it were the other way around?

Depends which version you mean. It would also have been wrong to terminate the POC/woman alone, which is the opposite, so probably yes.

"Hey $5B valuation startup: you cut the POC women with good severance but kept the men and whites, forced them into new roles, and halved their pay. That’s not how it works. Fix it in 72 hours or I’ll @ you and the investors (and yes, I already sent you a private note)."

No, then I would have just pointed out they fired all the women and POC, which would be also wrong but wouldn’t have a solution. This does and that’s what I’m working towards. While you’re...trolling? Splashing about in your white male privilege? Unclear.

Calling people who constructively criticize you a troll is like trump calling negative stories fake news.

Sorry, I’m confused. Your constructive criticism is what: I shouldn’t use my white male privilege to help POC/women? Or that I have an obligation to also use it to help other white males? Maybe I missed the point, sorry about that.

I have a feeling no amount of new information will change your opinion. So I won’t bother.

My opinion about whether white men should use their platforms (which exist because of privilege) to support POC/women? Yes, you’re probably right. Are readers of
@TheHustle aware that you think white men should be doing more to support other white men?3 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -
Would you two stop being 3 years old? No one is trying to be racist here. We just think CEOs should have behaved differently.
