I was 100% against remote. Without commute I'm way more refreshed, happier, and absolutely work harder. I can't remember ever being home by 5, but now working out around that time, dinner/chill, then working until super late is way more fun and productive.

Interesting. Historically sales has often had one of the highest percentage of remote employees in B2B world. Is there a reason other than team spirit your team needs shared space? Not challenging it, just genuinely curious. Personally I’ve found same thing as you recently.

Mostly team spirit. Salespeople tend to be loudish, extroverted, enjoy others company. In our case, small rituals like gongs, leaderboards, help morale and thus revenue. Whereas product creators, operators, whatever need a quieter time. At least in our case.

Well said. Probably true for everyone - can and will are 2 different things. Humans are social by nature.

My entire career has been remote, most of it as a Founder / CEO (20 years) Hardest part of remote is onboarding especially sales, most luck I have had is when a salesperson brings on friend and trains them working together. Will be interesting to see how big cos pull it off.
