Answer: some people in Bangladesh click on "subscribe" from many itunes accounts. The way to get ranked well seems to be all about the number of new subs a day and week.

I know people who get in the “new and noteworthy” section by launching with 4 episodes so ppl binge the heck out of it and that shows all the right signals If it’s been around for awhile maybe a Version of that could help? But idk such a black box of mystery Apple podcasts is

Thanks Jens! You’ve got a couple of options. If you’ve just launched you’ve basically got 8 weeks to be featured in new and noteworthy on Apple Podcast. But you can also send them a request to be featured (filling out a form). You need to pick a category and drive traffic
