I think paying for a quality product is perfectly acceptable. In most cases, I do not think college should be free.
Paying for high end product will only accentuate the already enormous circle of economic discrepancies between the can and can't. A gifted kid should be able to go to a top university. Not because the university wants mama and papa's money.
A gifted kid is gonna make it at whatever cost.
