I think for top twenty universities, the price is worth it. But if you’re not in that group, paying over $20k a year is horrible ROI. State, community, trade school, job, internship is the way to go. I went to a $30k, average school.Sucked. Hopefully this thins the herd.
I agree with that sentiment. And if you can afford it, do it. If you can’t, I think it will hurt you for decades financially. Id rather give my kids huge allowance to explore + state school.

Junior college is tens of dollars for credits. And you’ll find passionate teachers, with master’s degrees, that are cutting through the arrogance of “publish or perish” that dominates the university system.

Last pt. because I feel strongly about this. My parents were willing to send me to any school I could get into. And they did. But I had to pay for my first car ($880 for a ‘74 Firebird) & give them one year of full insurance ($1,185) .
