I think for top twenty universities, the price is worth it. But if you’re not in that group, paying over $20k a year is horrible ROI. State, community, trade school, job, internship is the way to go. I went to a $30k, average school.Sucked. Hopefully this thins the herd.

Got it. Yea, definitely agree there. Personally, I place more value on the networking than the other factors. Tough situation for schools right now though: Can they provide an environment for networks to be created when there's no physical interaction/proximity among students?

I haven't heard much talk about that aspect of the college experience for incoming students. Can the students still connect somehow? Sure, but unless schools provide some unique way to do so, the networking draw isn't as strong, at least for the next semester (or year).

Like everything else...the middle tier will disappear. After the carnage we’ll have elite colleges and suped up trade schools. This will lead to much better student outcomes and higher first year salaries on average.

also exists because gov will insta issue you a ~whatever you want loan~ this artificially jacks up prices. if those loans weren't available those prices would be WAY less or those schools wouldn't be able to stay open
