I think for top twenty universities, the price is worth it. But if you’re not in that group, paying over $20k a year is horrible ROI. State, community, trade school, job, internship is the way to go. I went to a $30k, average school.Sucked. Hopefully this thins the herd.

Fair point. My dad, a professor, said you shouldn’t go to college to get a job but have the once-in-a-life chance to explore, breathe & think about how you want to spend the majority of the rest of your life. So it’s not what college but college.

I agree with that sentiment. And if you can afford it, do it. If you can’t, I think it will hurt you for decades financially. Id rather give my kids huge allowance to explore + state school.

True story. I went to Belmont MBA for one day. Best $50k I never spent.

I went to Belmont and could be where I’m at in my career if I went to community college. This school is built upon the lie that every student will be the next big musical act or running music row. Not worth the 15k I had to take in loans, thankfully now debt free but still...

Couldn’t agree more. For 120k you could start a great biz or buy a house.
