      I've had two motorcycles stolen in San Francisco. I found both of them (just found the 2nd!). Caught the guy myself the 1st time (but they didn't arrest him). That's 2 for 2. I should run for mayor or police chief of SF...100% success rate.

      Had my 1971 VW bus stolen in 2013. Then last year actually found it on FB after clicking on a guy's profile that was talking shit to me on some random public thread about politics. There it was. For sale for $10k on OfferUp. Right there. Turns out the cops never filed my report.

      So I gave up trying to pursue it. Was the most traumatic thing thats ever happened to me. Which I guess I should be grateful for. The bright side? I learned (near) complete dissattachment to material possessions.
