I've had two motorcycles stolen in San Francisco. I found both of them (just found the 2nd!). Caught the guy myself the 1st time (but they didn't arrest him). That's 2 for 2. I should run for mayor or police chief of SF...100% success rate.

Parked it outside my office in front of houses. Came out at 5 pm. Gone. Knocked on all local doors. Then used SF accessor data to find other owners on twitter. After talking to everyone, many people gave name of man who’d been in trouble for auto theft.

I drove around all night. At 3 am we found him. 8 blocks away. He had the bike in front of a house. Standing next to it. Police came. Questioned him. According to them, he was just standing there. Technically no crime.

And if it matters, I don’t blame the cops for not doing what I did as their are bigger crimes. But...in SF those bigger crimes are handled either. So. Vote for my mayoral run
