      Think this is right. There'll be a <$300 plug-and-play DSLR quality webcam gets to market in next few months and makes a killing. Then Apple will put the iPhone 8 module in their next Mac(book) lineup refresh, and nobody will ever buy a webcam again.

      Most decent DSLR or mirrorless cameras *can*, but you need things like miniHDMI cables, and extra accessories (e.g. @elgatogaming camlink) just to get started. If a camera company reduces the friction before lockdown ends they'll win.
