I typically work with designers and devs by drawing what I think we need to make on paper and showing them. This is harder now that we're remote. What's the easiest and best to draw digitally and send files? Is there a pad I should get? What software should I use?

Figma is something I'm playing around with. Pretty user-friendly and I'm not a creative.

For high tempo stuff I use https://docs.google.com/drawings , and Loom video for an explanation. Figma once validated

Draw the design on a piece of paper, take a picture, and send it to your designer. Record a video with you explaining the concept.

We still use paper wireframes then we use the Microsoft Lens app to take a pic of it.

I dial in to a Zoom meeting using a separate iPad (Pro) + Apple Pencil, share my screen, and just sketch in my favorite notes app (GoodNotes). Works better than paper tbh because of cut/paste/simple editing features.
