I have lost so much respect for many public figures in tech who I used to admire over the past few months:
Delusions of grandeur
Insane self-righteousness
Virtue signaling (covert PR)
Embracing “fake news” narratives
No sense of humor about themselves

What’s an example of how you’d like “tech” to not be quiet about diversity?
Many companies require different types of people to interview for a job. They say in order to move forward, you MUST interview X type of person. I also think a huge amount of big VC funded companies are immigrants and minorities.

I don't have the data, but from the outsider's point of view it seems rather that tech is actually loud and giving it a shot (in certain cases for their own agenda - raising funds, PR, personal branding, but that's secondary) compared to non-tech (Utilities, Manufacturing etc.).
