      Not exactly. CPM was a viable business model throughout the boom and these are mostly sites who weren't around last recession. There's a lot of fat and excess spend before you even get to fixing the monetization aspect.

      It's a blood bath out there. It's not just CPM... Rate cuts for affiliates, a lot of lucrative programs turning off and eventually more and more consumers will be without discretionary spend. Not an easy thing to fix especially with a bloated model.

      Curious what you think publishers should have done that would perform better.. events? Subscription? I think there's a bear market for most of those things too

      Paid or free? What verticals? I keep hearing that and I'm thrilled if it is but would love to know actual numbers of those saying booming so I could it back it out to eCPM.
