Alright young ambitious money seekers: $100k. I used to (still do) save $ like crazy and never enjoyed it. $100k in savings (early 20s) is when I finally relaxed a little. They say the big numbers are $100k, $10m and $100m. That’s when you feel major differences.

I didn’t have a 401k until like two years ago at 27 when we made one. I literally didn’t know what it was and had never been employed. I also knew I’d go years without income so wanted cash.

I’m not sure there’s a great reason. I put $19k a year in it for tax reasons. But not sure it’s justified

Yea, my thing is I don’t want the government telling me when I can access my money and like you, I’m great at saving so getting to age 60 and not having money to retire is not possible.
