segmentation - ability to see overall ratings, but also ability to see ratings within a demo of others with similar preferences to yours. Something might be a 2-star overall, but a 5-star by people who have similar taste/selections to you.
I dig this. How would this impact revenue? By making more users? Or allowing them to charge more for ads?

I think it would increase engagement and usage, it would give users more motivation to add their preferences (to get the ratings properly tailored to them), it would bulk up the use of social features - I think all of that would increase sales/customers.
