Google doesn’t need to buy them. Just take them off the front page and they become irrelevant and people start using google reviews instead.

Crap Product Crap Business Model. They only have a good brand for one side of their market place while the hospitality community has nothing but disdain for them. They can’t for the life of them demonstrate positive returns on ad spend for their clients - spent over 15k w/ them

What would you do to make them more revenue and profit then?

segmentation - ability to see overall ratings, but also ability to see ratings within a demo of others with similar preferences to yours. Something might be a 2-star overall, but a 5-star by people who have similar taste/selections to you.

I dig this. How would this impact revenue? By making more users? Or allowing them to charge more for ads?

Got to stop fake reviews. Each review must be accompanied by receipt/proof of purchase. Also, better manual screening of “bad reviews” where it’s like “the food was okay but we found parking right in front so five stars for that!!!”
